Amanda was recently one of ten artists selected from over 200 global applicants for a week-long residency at the internationally renowned CTM Festival MusicMakers Hacklab in Berlin. Under the guidance of hosts and artists Sophia Bulgakova and Dasha Hewitt, Amanda explored this year's theme, "Sustenance," which examines how art can nourish both the creator and the community. She ventured beyond her usual mediums of installation, moving image, and sound into live performance and movement. Collaborating with Josefina Maro, Dimitris Mertzos, and Dmytro Filatov, Amanda co-created "Untuning Rituals," a live performance integrating experimental sounds, body movement, and live mixing. This experience not only expanded her artistic boundaries but also embodied Hacklab's mission of fostering a collaborative, innovative environment to develop new musical ideas. The residency, framed within tekhnē's network exploring technology's emancipatory potential in music and sound art, culminated in a public performance at Radialsystem Halle.
